If you are going after elephant or hippo, you owe it to the animal, your PH and yourself to test the GrizzlyStik 1250 Momentum TDT system.

The GrizzlyStik system, when built to 1250 grains and tipped with the GrizzlyStik forged Ashby single bevel broadhead has even made it through elephant ribs!

Our long time customer Dr. Jan Seski just did i, and he had been convinced that it was not possible. Dr. Seski is one of our elephant experts having taken 6 of them so far. (Yes, all with the bow.)

Think of how easy that will be, what kind of confidence you will have, knowing that you are shooting arrows with so much power that they can bring down your big game trophies even when things go wrong.

Remember Robert Rourke's famous saying: "Use enough gun!"

If you are going to Africa for elephant we recommend shooting this 1250 grain setup, it's the biggest "gun" available anywhere and we have the elephant harvests to prove it.

Test these arrows well in advance of your hunt so you get used to how they shoot. Once you get a feel for them you'll have all the confidence in the world that you can put the arrow where it needs to go.

You concentrate on your hunt, get yourself into position for the shot, then take the shot with total confidence.

We've included some helpful information below so you can get the most from your GrizzlyStik testing experience.

Note: Once arrows are cut to length they are non-returnable..

We get a lot of feedback from the bowhunters who test the GrizzlyStik 1250 grain arrows. Below are some options for you to make your arrow selections easier. We've listed three mind sets below. Pick the description that fits you best and then order your GrizzlyStik 1250 test pack accordingly.

#1 - Make it easy for me!

The easiest way to approach this is to call us with the following information:

• What bow are you shooting?

• What weight are you shooting at your draw length?

• What is your draw length?

• What is your arrow length? (Measured from the valley of the nock to the end of the arrow not including the point.)

• What arrows are you shooting now?

• What is the spine - or deflection of those arrows?

• What point weight are you shooting on them?

The information you give us will help us help you select the spine of the GrizzlyStik arrows you will end up testing.

Note: If you want us to suggest what might fly best for you, the more information you can give us the better. The final choice is yours and once arrows are cut to length, they are non-returnable.

We will then give you an educated guess on two arrows that we will cut to the same length as the arrows you are shooting now. We will probably suggest two arrows with a different spine so you can see first hand which one shoots the best from your bow with you shooting them.

Once we give you our suggestions, you can either order right then on the phone, or you can place your order online.

#2 - Make it easy - but I have an arrow cut off saw and I can fine tune the arrow flight by adjusting the arrow length myself.

We would still like to know the following information:

We will then give you an educated guess on two arrows that we will either cut to whatever length you would like, or even not at all. The best way to tune the arrows to your bow with you shooting is to start with arrows that you know are longer than you will need. That will make them weaker, as you shorten them you make them stiffer. You keep shortening and shooting until you get perfect flight.

Then, no matter what length they are, that is where you know they fly the best and that is the length you would order all arrows in the future.

It's sort of like shooting a bunch of factory loads from a particular rifle until you find the one that shoots the best. You tune this specific set up to your bow by adjusting the arrow length but not the point weight.

Note: We will probably suggest two arrows with a different spine so you can see first hand which one shoots the best from your bow with you shooting them. You can order whatever you'd like, but for best results, we always recommend testing two different spined arrows.

Once we give you our suggestions, you can either order right then on the phone, or you can place your order online.

#3 - I like doing all my own testing - so add a field point test pack to my order.

We still would like to know the following information:

At this point, because you have the field point test pack, you can test various point weights to see how they affect your arrow flight. (If you had us use hot melt cement when we glued in your inserts you can also mix and match the brass weight adapters for total control over your arrow mass weight and your FOC (forward of center) percentages.

This is a more complicated method of working up your 'hand load' for your bow, but it gives you much more control. You might find that you are more pleased with the trajectory of a 1000 grain arrow, or you might find that 1100 grains flies best, but groups better down range and is less susceptible to cross winds. (We still will recommend 1250 grains for elephant, but the final choice is yours. You need to shoot what you have the most confidence in.)

You will know what works best for you because you will have done the testing.

Think of this as building yourself a totally custom hand load for a particular rifle. You will change the arrow length, the point weight, and the FOC (forward of center) percentages to find the EXACT arrow and broadhead system that works best for you, with you shooting, out of your specific bow.
